1C up south of Inverness albeit on higher ground. Expecting showers on and off all day in off the North Sea.

Looking at the charts it would appear Sunday and Sunday night will be our turn to get a dumping and with very low temps on monday it will be guaranteed to stick.

I smile wryly at the reports from down south of gritters out in preparation for the heavy snow predicted.

I wonder if they will be anywhere as near efficient at keeping the roads clear as they do up here. I have never been stuck in the past seven years although do remember a few occassions in my youth when roads were blocked.

Currently 0c with second heavy hail and wet snow shower this morning now falling, ground is now white. Suspect a frost will set in if skies clear as ground is cold from last weekends cold.

Had yucky sleet stuff overnight - went to bed at 2:30am as the temperature was still hovering around 3'C

Woke up and see a light cover of snow outside...

Street light switched off, sky went very dark, street light came back on

Something noisy falling out of the sky - rather heavily!

Radar says snow, but its more sleety than snow

Had a brief snow shower here at the Gyle, East of the City, about 10 min ago. Wife says it snowed in town as well. Started off as rain but easily went to sleet and then snow as it got heavier. Friend report lying snow in Bonnyrigg

Blizzard conditions now at Dreghorn, can see it on Traffic Scotland

hmm am surprised had a few sleet showers, which left a very think dusting, earlier but it's now SNOWING with proper thick flakes and lying,

I didn't really expect much here today as I thought we were a little too far North for the action (though it would be mainly centered on Fife!) until perhaps this evening

YeahBabyYeah, I can see yours on the Laurencekirk traffic cam, very impressive! - Ours hasn't reached the Huntly cam yet but it should any minute, if only the Ellon cam was working as ours must have passed over it
