Don't see why we have all this negativity. We still have a great chance of a good snow event on Saturday night. Chill out folks.

Hmm well 2 days ago we thought tomorrow would be an event so I wouldn't get too excited about Sat, plenty of time for change yet! Seems every time we get close, it all changes and becomes nothing.

Yep..raining just down the road from you.

The set up's have been fantastic all week, but i think we are going to be all a little dissapointed.

Reminds me of Euro 96. going great, then gareth southgate stepped up to take the penalty.laugh.gif

Damn I was in therapy for years after that and now you have just reminded me.

Netweather radar now show -4 and -5 850 line have landfall on the the east coast, I wonder ...?

netweather rainfall radar say snow, look outside say no !! Instead yet more festive drizzle. Hey ho better refill my glass to more than half full.

Having found myself staring at a lamp post watching drizzle fall I have to accept that I need serious help.

LOL lets hope the 18z can make us yahoo.gif

Most places in the UK are still well above freezing, at about 4°C or higher.

Christmas day is forecast at 10°C at my location on Accuweather.

I don't see much time left for any cold weather.

Hi Jo, Pleased to see you have that weather station working again. I have Temp and dewpoint of 4c. Things do look to be perking up in the north east and I am of course ever hopeful.

Incidently have just checked Met Office sat image and running back 3 hours and then forward is showing something heading out from south Norway.

Thanks jimben - got it going again but only by putting the indoor bit right in front of the window in order to get a signal (so it's not hooked up to the computer and my software). I keep dashing over to look at it, t'is keeping me fit. :whistling:

Warmer here than you guys have - temp of 4.7, ditto dew point... nowhere near snow potential! But seemingly not much precipitation heading our way tomorrow anyway...

The PPN projections for East Anglia and the SE are wonderful. There will almost certainly be some decent snow cover with continuous snow showers merging and forming the classic Thames snow-streamer. It's just a shame that all this action brushes rather than penetrates well inland.

I think that we may have to be content with the statistical side of things for now. Particularly the possibility of ice days. I am looking no further than 24-48 hrs for possible excitement as precip possibilities only become realistic within a very close time-frame.

Snow Joke again! What a load of rubbish. Saturday evening and maybe sunday is our only chance at this rate. SE bags all again over the next couple of days. :whistling:

I don't see what the problem is. The Midlands has never done well off direct Northerlies and we need a very potent easterly to bring anything decent. These ones are no different.
