Was expecting a hard frost on the car this morning, nothing at all. Happy days

I think you will find it is a very hard frost except because dew points are so low you see no visible frost perhaps except the ground and things like puddles will be frozen. -4.1 here at moment

Woke up at 6:15 to sweet FA here in Swindon :o

seems that it halted just past reading and then just fizzled out! Ahh well, plenty more time for any more :)

edit: just had a look at my local forecast and it's not been updated since the 18z run. Any idea why?

Edit2: just got on the train. It's got snow frozen to the bogeys from when it was in London. So I at least got to see some snow out of this! Lol

edit3: just stopped at chippenham, seems they got an extremely light dusting as there are some white dustings around on the platform.

I caught a glimpse of few tiny flurries over night but none lying on the ground here at all but wasn't expecting any so no disappointment. I'm looking at my nw forecast for Sunday and that looks a little more promising. I'm predicted to be in for a couple of hours of moderate snow Sunday morning - I saw what a couple of hours of moderate snow did in Feb and I'd be happy with that.

snow shower heading directly into chelt...

There does seem to be a smattering of light showers in the region. May see some flakes blowing around in this fairly strong wind later.

What a JOKE! - Im extremely dissapointed to wake up to clearskies and bone dry ground! - I have lost all hope in a any snow what so ever this side of winter until febuary time. Cant beleive that. What is going on with all the forecasts!! all saying snow for us or sleet at least, for every day this week but we've not seen a dicky bird! - Lesson learnt, not to take a blind bit of notice when i see snow forecast for east dorset :).

Clear skies here now. Wheres all this snow or snow showers both online and TV forecasts say we are suposed to get for most of the day today when its clear skies and no precip anywhere near us on the radar!

Ive had enough of all that "tomorrow" business now - It never happens "Tomorrow" lol.

Forecasting has really gone downhill since last winter especially on the TV

Thats my rant over with! :):)

:D

Morning all,

A cold night last night and brass monkeys this morning. Minimum is -2.2C and that's what it is currently so an ice day possible if we're not careful. And the wind is something else!

Rob McElwee did show a thick band of snow moving south on Saturday and overnight affecting everywhere so we should get some accumulations out of that. 95% chance and 5mm according to N-W 10 Day at a Glance. Might even get a few flurries today if we're lucky.

Good morning peeps.

I have just got in from work. I have noticed the cloud is building from the east. :)

I wonder if anything will come of it.
