Butler son!!

What do you reckon?

I reckon not looking good??

?? But hopefull!

Looks pretty slow moving to me - my best guess for any precipitation is about 2 or 3am at this rate! Quite what it'll be, I don't know, likely to be similar to what others have received. I'm just hoping the proximity to the coast doesn't screw things up for us! Also, let's hope the band doesn't fizzle out! The best thing is not to expect much/anything, and be pleasantly surprised when it arrives!

Wish I could give some temps, but my nice little weather box has been broken for the last couple of years and I haven't been bothered to get it fixed! But it has got a little warmer outside (or so it felt). I've had to act as a bit of a taxi service round eastern Dorset this evening...

Quite heavy freezing rain briefly just then. I went outside and it was starting to turn slippery in places, and freezing on the gate and cars by the looks of it. Im not sure this is too good for anyone on the roads. -1.4c now so temp is increasing though

for those who havent had snow take heart as this second band of pp is much colder and the snow IS not wet...

Temps dropping here and snow settling on roads and cars

looks as though we might get a covering from the second band..

edit..

Slinky I think I will only get a covering though...

No precipitation now, but been outside and it just feeeeels colder. I'll bet my bottom dollar that if we get any more ppn it will be snow. But will we get any?

Ok that was proper freezing rain nearly fell over just walking up the garden path! thin layer of ice coating it now. A neighbours relatives just left and had to drive very slowly up the lane, good they realised it was icy and not just 'normal' rain.

It had eased but now getting heavier again. -1.1c

You're right. My sister lives in Telford and she got nothing but rain - she has been on the phone 3 times and is still fuming - said she has watched lamposts for 10 days now for nothing! hahahaha

I think we expext too much of these Northern Fronts. The thing has been going all day. I'm not surprised it has ran out of puff.
