Got sleet/wet snow as *al* said here now

itv local weather, went upto weds with snow showers mon tues weds and snow tonight

Keeps changing between sleet/wet snow and rain.

current temp is 0.5c the problem i have is there is no mod/heavy ppn heading my way so snow unlikely unless that cold digs in and fast.

I think that as reported by others, as the front moves through it will gradually turn to snow.It probably falls as snow but melts on the way down.Behind the front it's colder so the snow makes it down.

Not a cloud in the sky here... however I can see the rest of the Milky Way... a plus for no street lights!

Surprisingly its still -1.7C here and the temp has been fluctuating around that level due to clear spells this evening. Big blobs of heavy showery stuff just missing me which would probably be freezing rain/sleet before it warms up a bit.

Edit: actually some intensifying and heading towards me this could be quite interesting, even if freezing rain or sleet which I expect and you dont get that too often.

well here it was more heavy snow than rain..

Infact mainly started off as sleet and rain, then quickly turned into heavy wet snow...

Another band on its way shortly,

I have just noticed the temps here getting colder between band's.

Though I dont know what the temp is

As bristolwx said 4.3 in Filton and Dew Point 2.8C - heavy rain, though I'm wishfully thinking it looks like sleet. Hope for colder air after this and some snow showers.

Still nothing here in Dorsetshire, though nice to know you northerners up to Gloucestershire have got some, and Wiltshire too - hope the stuff in Wilts will head our way!
