SKy's turning very dark here, but I wonder if I'm too far inland and too far north?

Could be OON. I'm just waiting for the 10am update on the radar. I'm sure you'll get something out of the skies today. Nature of the beast with showers, hit and miss. Some places will be favoured more than others.

We really are missing everything dodge.I sincerely hope things improve soon!

All in good time, happy days. Places just to the North West of us are reporting snowfall now, and to be honest the main activity was set for later this afternoon. Skies have clouded here, and a few flakes falling now, but no wind.

Meto updated warning. 5-10 cm from lunchtime till 10pm tonight. Drifting possible in fresh to strong w winds.

Going to have to change somewhat here. Its flat calm here at the moment.

All the action seems to be to the North and South of us both, this afternoon we should be in the firing line!

Dropped to -7.0c last night and the snow showers have been piling in,looks like we could have a real wintery spell , just hope it doesn't warm up too much which was what happened yesterday and turned all the snow to sleet/rain.

We still have some snow, partly melted lying from this morning. The snow at the moment is very sleety though.

Looking at the radar, I think parts just to the North of Manchester are in a corridor of uncertainty at the moment, but in a way it's good that the showers seem to be slow moving once they get inland. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

Yep, temperatures are on the rise particularly in the west and southwest of the region with air off the sea. Going to be in the balance here with snow/graupel showers being constantly thawed unless they're more heavy and persistant. Here south of Warrington there is some melting taking place same time as snowing.
