Here's our new friend created this afternoon!

post-5516-12613397054613_thumb.jpg

I was going to ask if it's male or female, but I don't think I need to. Nice handy work.

Just noticed them .. we're still getting short sharp snow showers but those that are forming to the west look good now! there just appearing out of nowhere when it appears that the ppn will die off. Maybe some surprises tonight !

I can see the showers coming in from the sea! The sky looks orange. Hello snow!

Roads and paths are really bad, EVERYWHERE is frozen! Temperature just below - or at 0c (I just reset my WS so i don't know).

Things are looking up guys - Those who got a non event may not be dissapointed afterall! (Including me - Nothing but grauple mostly)

Those showers that i've highlighted will most likely affect us.

I think most of the showers will be to the north of a line from Liverpool to Manchester, though. I think south of this line will probably be mainly dry tonight. There are showers over NNW Wales but I suspect they will die out as they track across North Wales. The showers appear to be tracking west to east rather than on a NWly tilt now. Never know though.

You're probably right about the line of showers, i've missed them by 10 miles.

Check this latest radar image out though, those showers are intensifying every update on the radar!

Compare it to my last image post, they look strong enough to reach me. I've highlighted my location with a black dot on the image. Tell me what you think.

No reason why not, the showers are making it over the pennines so as long as there is no mountain in between you and the sea you will do fine.

The main issue is temp, hopefully it will be low enough for some snow.

The ones over NNW Wales have clumped together somewhat and that gives a better chance. I can see the showers to the north of me but I'm just too far south unless the showers develop further south.

Looks like they are tracking VERY close to the sea - Some parts are in it - I'd expect it to pick up moisture too. Are them showers in line to hit my location?

I managed to find an Anglesey postcode Mr.D.

Have you seen the intensity in that band! It's 30 miles long, so will provide 30 mins of snow.

Looking good, it's a beefy band!

Not here.

But see my above post, a really nice band of snow (Unforcasted) coming our way.

Have you got a slushy covering of todays snow there? Or did it not melt at all?

Mine is just slush.

Radar update shows another band of showers forming behind the small one near Anglesey!

This could be an interesting wake up and a suprise for many in store!

Temperature will definatley be low enough. 0.8c here atm and ground is frozen solid. Any flakes at all will stick.
