I find it annoying that the met office and BBC weather was wrong, yet the forecast on my Ipod Touch was bang on....

1.7c and light sleet.

Snow is hammering down in Cheadle......has been for the last 20 mins or so, this is really unexpected, considering the forecast was for mainly sunny weather with the odd wintry shower.

Not that I'm complaining!

It's brightened up now in Wallasey. A nice white covering on all surfaces, but I fear it will soon melt.

The last bit of the shower fell as hail, and then sleet. The temperature is too warm now unless the precip is quite heavy, if it is heavy it will knock the freezing level down, thus lowering the temperature somewhat. It will fall as snow if it reaches here, but if not, wave goodbye to the bits on the ground.
