I find it annoying that the met office and BBC weather was wrong, yet the forecast on my Ipod Touch was bang on....

1.7c and light sleet. :(

Snow is hammering down in Cheadle......has been for the last 20 mins or so, this is really unexpected, considering the forecast was for mainly sunny weather with the odd wintry shower.

Not that I'm complaining!

The area that I have highlighted looks like the next lot of PPN to watch post-8968-12614807020613_thumb.jpg

Scrap my last post, there is a really intense one merging and heading right for me!

I think I'm in a direct line between you and the storm so I hope it's really, heavy honest-to-goodness snow!

The last bit of the shower fell as hail, and then sleet. The temperature is too warm now unless the precip is quite heavy, if it is heavy it will knock the freezing level down, thus lowering the temperature somewhat. It will fall as snow if it reaches here, but if not, wave goodbye to the bits on the ground.

Aderyn, you may as well go to the breck and you'll witness an amazing sight - green fields below you in Moreton and Leasowe

I'm just watching a large shower cloud passing south of me-heading right up the Mersey towards RUNCORN

It will probably fall as rain if it's light. 2.0c now...

From the streamer coming in from the irish sea.

sounds like the streamer is going to intensify for the rest of the day - latest forecast on BBC 1.

Snow has eased here now and left quite a covering...

Yet again it starts light here, and merges over Manchester.

We get a stupid dusting while you get another inch, it really isnt fair!!
