This isn't good now, there's got to be about 6 inches on the ground and it's resetted over the ice on the side roads and resettling on the roads normally.

Salford Quays is in a snow cloud, makes the view out of the window rather more interesting than work...

Runcorn and Widnes got 2" for a time, but it wasn't snow - It was hail and grauple.

Sorry Backtrack, my colleague insists it was light and fluffy snow she wiped off her car this morning in Widnes!

Because I fear for you that Runcorn is the new Carlisle.

The temperature's dropping here as the skies clear. Currently -0.9C and absolutely wonderful.

Haviest snowfall of this cold spell today!

Amazing and I can't imagine how the cars are dealing with this on the roads right now!

The forecasts for the northwest have been laughable! It makes it worthwhile being able to access the models and check for yourself!

Had a very heavy snow shower a sec ago, left a dusting again, they just aren't lasting long enough.

Just looking at the traffic cams, some really quite deep snow around Rochdale/Oldham. Central Manchester looks very nice in the snow. Also around Orrel, and Ormskirk is snowed under pretty deep.

We're still getting small snow showers here by the airport and they seem to be heading your way so good luck!
