Have you noticed the path they are taking?

They're going WNW. Most of them are going to hit me. We need it, these should be well deserved!!

Yes and slowly at that.

FAX charts for Christmas Eve look very interesting for our region

Midnight: trough coming into the south

Midday Christmas Eve: Trough just off west coast then north through Morecambe Bay across SE Cumbria

Looking good,

although Christmas day looks to have maximums of 4c. Christmas eve only looks to be 0c at night. Any snow could rapidly melt.

Snow is snow though, so I hope it comes off.

woke up to an extra 2cm of fresh snow, settled on what has become rather thick ice. Wasn;t holdig out much hope, but about 10 mins ago, more fresh snow falling, large-sih falke (~1cm) and nice and steady - should make the drive to Fleetwood interesting lol

Am I the only one here who would prefer that weather system to track south on xmas eve? That way we are kept in cold here, keep our snow cover longer and would get some impressive night time minimums. Surely thats better than some sleety muck that will raise temps and eventually melt all our snow. Just a thought.

Steady continuous snow in Summerseat for the last hour or so.

Glad I decided against trying the commute to Lancaster, its very festive watching the snow.

4th snow "event" since Thursday night and just a bit of melt in Saturdays warm sector.

Snow, on snow, on snow....
