temp dropped to 0.9C wind blowing snow eased a little, a good covering however lots of footprints outside shows its close to thawing...looking at the radar it seems as though it will stop here soon and another band to come later...but there are reports the front has not halted and may intensify whole it hangs around...lets hope it hangs around for about 5 days...a foot of snow is whats needed...not a centimetre

This isn't looking good. Snow has now turned to rain and the front seems to have come too far north instead of stalling.

Hi Guys,

Very disappointing - snow turned to rain here - snow around on mountains, as stated before, snowlevel is around 1000 feet! I am under that by a little bit! Don't think it is going to turn to snow until it fades away tomorrow as no sign of the icy wind that might help.

It's biting out, massive windchill element going on. THe main problem IMO at the moment is that the precip needs to pep up. There's little cooling effect. It's also very localized.

This has to be the biggest disappointment.

Rain in Merthyr where it usually snows, nothing for back home.

It's all altitude dependant.

BBC and MetO still giving blizzard and heavy snow warnings. Shame they never get it right.

No snow = lots of snow

blizzards = rain
