Actually, after running the radar a few times it appears that the showers are rotating round that area of low pressure, and moving away from our region. However, the showers in north Northumberland should cross us but they won't be as intense. Its hard to say though.

1.0ºC here, but falling slowly. I think the dewpoint is about 0ºC, ideally it would be a degree or so lower.

They are not moving away from us!!

Take another look, they are heading directly for us, this is what the met office weather warning must be about!!

I was probably just seeing what I wanted to see, those showers could give a fair dumping but it is a bit too marginal for my liking.

Here's the conditions on Weather Underground, your dewpoint is too high I'm afraid.

Those showers are weakening slightly anyway, so not much hope of anything significant. Tomorrow you have a chance again.

Try this site, just move the map up to your area.

Looking at those showers on the radar I think we're only going to get the band at the front, with the rest passing to our east. Maybe an inch extra for some of us though.

The mild sector shouldn't be a problem here, just hope everyone else gets snow too.

being watching those showers off eastern scotland on the radar animation they seem to be heading for us estimate 2 to 3 hours time. I aint got a thermometer but the slight thaw that was happening earier has stopped and some melt water on wheely bin has turned to solid ice suggesting temp is dropping. looks good 4 us

also been looking at 12.00 gfs outputs it looks fantastic if they come to fruititiondrinks.gif

shame am back to work on mondayaggressive.gif

cheers Gazza (byker)

Looks like there is a split forming on this band and that they are dying as they head south, typical, just typical!!!

Good too see the band has intensified on the latest radar sequence but with how marginal the situation is, i'm a little bit nervous about it arriving.

This afternoon has seen a rather slow thaw, grass looks mainly unaffected but some of the roofs are a bit patchy however it's just like one side of the roof looking a bit bare whilst the other side is full of snow and very little if any thaw occured.

Could do with a nice top up on the ground and the road though, with people walking and driving, it looks untidy and a nice top up would put that right. :p I would prefer if this band would not hit us(and that could still happen) but if it fall as snow(aslong its not wet snow) then we could see more snow accumulating.
