Just re-measured the snow - 15cm level snow on the garden wall! Fan-chuffin-tastic

Still snowing lightly here, and with the porspect of more snow tonight and on Wednesday night thru Thursday, this is really unbelieveable!

What happened to that zoom in bar on the rain today radar :wallbash:

They pulled it this morning as many people are accessing the site and it forced them to make the site as minimal as possible to keep it from crashing.

Just been replaying it over and over again. I'm not 100% sure it will make the East coast.

Could someone wiser and more learned than me have a look?

Cheers

Well, after looking at it over and over again, what direction do you see the cloud moving in :whistling:.

Doesn't look like the snow showers coming in from the NE are going to make it this far inland, they seem to be dying as soon as they get within about 30-40 miles of the east coast. Not sure if anything is due to change but at present it looks as if they will stay to the east.

Did someone mention another event occuring tomorrow night? Jay Wynnes latest BBC forecast looked interesting for Friday with an increasing wind blowing the snow showers way into the Yorkshire region but no mention of anything other than this away from the east coast (speaking about this area only - parts of the south looks like getting a real dumping tonight)

Hey nice to hear from you, hope you're well. I'll be back in Scarborough early next week ready for the new semester - and exams :drunk:. There are some remarkable low tides in Feb and March, the lowest this side of 2026 I think.

Anyway, off topic I guess!

You have much snow up there? Could be a treacherous few days ahead for the east coast

Paul Hudson believes its going to start to intensify for us starting tomorrow afternoon/evening and the snow should start to reach the Pennines then. The snow should be back properly though for everyone on Thursday IF that easterly comes like it seems to be. Will probably cover Lancashire pretty well it will be that strong never mind Yorkshire.

Also the band down south, as it pushes back on it's Northern track is pushing some energy further north.
