Measured around 4" to 5" in different parts of the garden

Road is horrible and had to get 2 neighbours to push me up the drive.

Have had another shower which has covered what I have shifted so all in all a very good day for Normy............

Have not mesured for a few hours, last one was around 6 inch or 15.5 cm.. it's just not stopped at all up here. Am just waiting for kids to fall asleep and then I may go do some mesuring.. and also a rather tipsy attempt at a snow sculpture on the drive closedeyes.gif

How long do you reckon before it makes land mate? About an

hour, would you say?

Another low developing ????

Yeah it's another low mate, the one earlier split and formed a secondary to the NE of us. Thats why i expect them showers out in the N sea to pivot and hit Eastern Coastal counties right down to the humber before pushing back out into the N sea.

Those showers in the North Sea are looking very tasty indeed :)

Don't they just! Theres some real intensity in them. Hudsons forecast was another cracker. Slightly concerned about rain forecast right over Scarborough though. I noticed it once tonight and in tomorrows forecast too.

Iv'e checked and see 850hpa's of at least -7C and a dam of well below 520. I can't seem to find a forecast for dew points though, do they exist? I notice ground temps of around +2C which is a little dissapointing.

Any thoughts? Current temp +1.4C with dew point of +0.1C.

John (and anyone else who's interested!),

Been dying to post all day but have been at work...

Snow depth here in Beverley (HU17) is 4cm and it is still snowing on and off although there has obviously been a slight thaw.

Snow depth at work when I left (Donny Station DN4) was 12cm and it had been snowing all day without a break! Quite surprising for the location I think. It was still snowing there too.

Current temps here is -0.1°C with a DP of -1.1°C and no wind.

Hope this helps for any article you write.

Tony

Well I've found the part of the region with literally no snow. Conditions here in Louth are pathetic really - wet, no snow and I'm sure it must be as snow-free on the Coast. What was it? Warm sector?

Either way, very disappointing.

Yes I agree the East lincs Shield is up and refusing to go, However it seems a possibility our turn will be Thursday as a low pressure system heads straight for us from the continent.

Around 7-8inches here, a very good day and the roads we're fantastic after idiotic people decided not to drive painfully stupid! quick journey home although i would like to know from Pennine Ten Foot Drifts AKA Martin what Scapegoat is like.

agree, it's been dire in this neck of wood for snow and to be honest i can't really see any sign of anymore snow soon with the snow showers in the north sea keeping north of the humber...as you say, maybe a slim chance for thursday. nice to see all the other areas get their snow though.
