Met office currently have a weather warning in force for ice covering the whole region.

There is no warning in place anywhere within yorks/lincs for snow,only an advisory issued yesterday.

Looking at the radar i would say the met office are correct.

A few light to moderate snow showers this afternoon here in Sheffield where after the temperature really plummeted. Pics show 17cm of snow here.

Hmmm, can't see it but maybe thats why its so dark to my east and alot lighter to my west, lets hope we get a pasting and because it's really cold already we should do really well from any showers

Some heavy but mainly short lived showers this afternoon and the roads are now really treacherous. Traffic is struggling on the hills into and out of the village.

A few light showers here today and one heavy one that didn't last all that long - 10 minutes or so. May have added a cm or so to the covering which is extensive and consolidated but not very deep.

Temp here now -2.1°C with a DP of -5.1°C and the wind has fallen light.

Gonna be a cold one!
