That band of heavy showers tomorrow look quite interesting, as you say TEITS probably snow depths close to 10cms in the sweet spot...more general totals between 1-5cms, quite a wide range becuase of the nature of showers, though the strongest should be quite linear in a band as it comes through...

May even get a little snow yet in Guildford if the models are right in trending ever so slightly further west...shame I'm going to miss events after that as I'm going to be way too busy with other things me thinks...

Also worth noting the GFS and the models now bring in another trough on the easterly flow on Saturday morning...

I suspect therefore Friday eveing and Saturday morning could well be a lot more snowy then the models prog, but we shall see...

Read that earlier - relieved to read what you've just said.

Any ideas of accumalations at the moment for the SE corner for Sunday?

He will post but judging by his recent posts, a lot of snow, maybe up to 25cm?

Norfolk is going to get nailed tomorrow with the W extent probably around Cambs.

This band then moves S but another band seems to also hit Norfolk/Wash again.

post-1766-12628142349052_thumb.png

Probably around 10cm for Norfolk. Probably 3-5cm elsewhere.

I'd be very surprised if South Essex got more than 1 cm.

If we got the minimum 3 cm here, that would be as much (more than IMBY) as the two attempts already. Also it goes against years of snow watching that we get significant snow from the N/NE. It simply HAS to fizzle out. I'm going for 1 cm max for S Essex, 2 cm C Essex, 3 cm North Essex with perhaps 3 cm in Kent if some of the showers come in from the North Sea.

Hi, just had a look at the latest radar, and the showers already look like they are just started to penetrate through the wash and into our area.

What are your thoughts on this 'TETIS' and also do you believe we will see a fair amount of snow from tomorrows showers, im only half hr down the A1 from you.

Cheers...

'Browse' (for pics) then 'Attach this file' — when it's done that you'll get a little icon of the photo above the Browse box. When you've attached your pictures, post (Add Reply).

And please please remember to re-size them to 'medium' before doing any of the above… otherwise they take an age to load and no one can look at them properly as they're too huge.

I've managed to post one but not sure about the re-size bit - i will have another look at it next time !

Well, what a snow day... the snow started at about 9pm last night and snowed right through until 7 this evening... 22 hours of snowfall!

OK, most of it was quite light but the overnight accumulations must have been about 6 inches and then another inch or so through the day before a final heavier burst around 6 (when I went to get fish and chips!) which gave another inch... :pardon:

The dewpoints and the 2m temps look abit dodgy for coastal regions of Essex, Suffolk, E Norfolk and much of Kent.

Temps of 2/3C!!

The GFS could be over doing the effects of the N Sea.
