Heaviest snowfall i have ever witness there.

Flakes at one stage were the size of small plates.

1.5 inches lying on top of a soaking wet ground in 30 minutes.

A nice freeze over tonight and the morning should look nice and festive :)

Radar does show a little area of precip that did strengthen right over Dublin so looks like you copped it somewhat, no doubt the strength of the precip helped to drag the temps down and so whilst you did have a wet flow, the snow was heavy enough to help the snow to settle due to slightly lower temps.

Well done to you guys!

Snow stopped.half hour ago.

Thaw setting in.not complaining.

Those snowflakes were huge.if that had gone on for another few hours.would of been the dumpings of all dumpings.

A nice covering here this morning but raining now so dont think it will last too long

Thats good! I don't need to go out and brush the driveway clear and salt the street. Quite tired this morning and dosed with manfluenza! Had it since last Monday Morning.

Wednesday is shaping up to be quite the day! Thursday looks to be very windy and wintry with it. Lets see how things progress as we get closer.

Woke up to a couple of inches here at least, still snowing as I speak.

Must have rained slightly as there is a tiny bit of melt, hope the cloud remains though, keep that warmer sun from totally diminishing it all early. Want to take the little on out for a bit.

I can report that there is no snow in Cork, though it did rain a few times during the night!

All ye guys are lucky.

Has the snow in Dublin melted? Thought I would have seen some reports on the "traffic chaos" caused if it hadn't...

Morning everyone. Its a cold dull frosty morning here in Derry. Whats everyones thoughts on wednesdays event? I'm taking it with a pinch of salt after there was advisories issued at the end of last week for Sunday but this never happened except for Co Down and Armagh. Can we expect the snow that the Meto are advising on or is it gonna be a marginal event?

Just seeing the the Meto have now issue a watch for thursday aswell. Will hight matter for this or should we all see something wintry?

Wednesday and Thursdays event looks tight, it will be marginal for most areas so wether you see 2 days of snow/sleet/rain, depends on the pockets of upper air.
