Haha, Ian should leave the Bbc and join Net Weather, Net Weather should raise money for a Weather Channel where there are programmes on models and weather types, And Ian can give a daily forecast :p. Ideal World :p, I wonder if he knows our friend Derek.

I think he had a well-earned day of rest today - but back at work tomorrow?

Fatter flakes now but won't last much longer

Check out the ppn radar if you have it - the next lot over Yorkshire is meaner than this one and originates in the same place! Lets hope it has enough energy to come our way too...

I've got a feeling there's more of an easterly component to the wind now, so I fear that will miss us all and drift into mid-Wales (if it gets that far). Shame.

Anyway, snowing moderately here now :p

I know how you feel. I'm down to your SW and it seems to be doing the same to me. Even if I get a little over me nothing falls from the sky :p

I suppose this is when the radar comes in useful.... oops.

I'm guessing its clear out there as the temp keeps on dropping, -5.2C at the moment.

Tell me about it. I think someone has just installed a snow shield around Weston.

I use this thread because the central south one is as barren as the Sahara, but what irritates me is the fact that here in Poole Dorset we couldnt be more in the middle of the south coast but all forecasts refer to se and sw. That to me can mean anything from Dover to lands end lol.

Yeah, didn't log on later yday eve, so read thru' thread this morning.

Seems like Ian was having a bit of a laugh - probably needed a chill out after this week's weather forecasting headaches!laugh.gif
