Is it my imagination but it seems to me these showers coming from the ne seem to intensify the further west they get. Or should I have gone to Specsavers lol.

Yeah it was strange.

I was standing outside watching, Then suddenly i could hear heavy rain, But it was still snowing.

So i stood inthe snow and was getting soaked but also getting snowed on.

VERY odd.

Probably freezing rain..

Something similar happened here. I think melted and re-frozen snow was falling from trees because of the increased wind. You near any trees?

Odd flurry now but pretty much the end of the show, snow band deposited around 0.5cm of snow and temperature is currently -4.3C with a dew point of -5.1C

It only lasted a minute or so. The flakes turned to fine ice and rain. then the rain stopped and teh snow got bigger again.

Considering its -3.3 here, it is odd

Covering themselves i'm afraid. MO release warnings for all areas, knowing full well only some areas will get it.

Well, that's just pants! :good:

I can't believe that that huge pink area of snow (on the NW radar) just went either side of Trowbridge!!! :)

Plus, my WiFi connection keeps dropping-out... :D

All over here.. for now tease.gif very nice though... Come back!pardon.gif

Check out the ppn radar if you have it - the next lot over Yorkshire is meaner than this one and originates in the same place! Lets hope it has enough energy to come our way too...

Evening all,so whats's the crack with Sunday/Monday my heads spinning I can't make head or tail of it all,the charts show for continual snow but light or maybe not on the extreme Dorset and southern coasts,or will it rain,or is it now the SE,or is it now down to now forecasting on the big day.I give up time to rally round and coax Ian in with the calling drums!wallbash.gif

The oddness of metcheck!!

Evidently its just going by the gfs or similar.

Bit off though that its sanity checking hasnt picked up the fact that its -3 and sleeting!

odd.

maybe it will be 4 days of sleet?
