Anyone want to comment on Sunday's 'event'? News24 weather update 30 mins ago seem to indicate a 'non-event' for us, totally different from forecast i saw this lunchtime on news24!

Just had another CM, however while outside, it was still snowing heavy and was raining at the same time!

Odd..

From my take of it, it seems to be a 2 to 5cm event of fairly persistent light snow event (kind of a grim drizzly day if it was warmer). Hope it's more though.

Bristle; its also totally different to later forecasts and totally at odds with the NAE, so I'm not sure where they are coming from. I think I'll adopt the wait and see approach and enjoy the snow tomorrow!

Well, probably about to end here, but if we get 12 hours of not-too-heavy snow like this Sunday, some roads around here will be iced for weeks regardless of any warmer weather in the near future!!

Well its continuous fluffy snow all the way here.. can't believe theres any rain at these temps. Current temp down the road at Longlevens (Severntales weather) is - 3.4. Correction - 3.9

Met Office still has warnings out for Sunday, Monday and Tuesday (Heavy Snow) :)

Didn't this happen with the snow event this week?...

It was forecast, then it changed to a "non-event", then 48 hours before it happened it was forecast again!?....

Suppose we'll just have to wait and see what the various channels forecast tomorrow...

I think you're right, Matt.

News24 weather at 20:57, Rob McElwee says stronger wind chill for Saturday, but Sunday is mainly S.E. and London. Lighter snow for us, but nothing really. A bit of a disappointment. Breakdown situ next week looks more exciting!

Is it my imagination but it seems to me these showers coming from the ne seem to intensify the further west they get. Or should I have gone to Specsavers lol.

Covering themselves i'm afraid. MO release warnings for all areas, knowing full well only some areas will get it.

Yeah it was strange.

I was standing outside watching, Then suddenly i could hear heavy rain, But it was still snowing.

So i stood inthe snow and was getting soaked but also getting snowed on.

VERY odd.

Probably freezing rain..

That's exactly how Richard Angwin called it at 1800 on BBC Bristol Radio

Snow shield in effect around Bristol tonight - I think Leon jinxed it lol
