Its just started snowing in Mumbles.

The air temp is currently 2.2c so I think this bodes well especially in light of the snow reports in the SW in low lying areas. This could be a major event!

Excellent news bodes well for others

Told you all it would be rain lol.

Woohooo if it snows in Mumbles then it sure does look good,i thought it would be rain first then snow shortly afterwards, but snow already in 10cm ASL Mumbles does indeed bode well.

Good start but early days.

Im in work near Bridgend and the radar is showing light/light moderate but nothing at all coming out of sky????

Will this start off as wet snow for many areas apart from hills and stick later on in the evening?

Nothing here.... yet

Quite probably.

Much bigger flakes here now. Not sticking, and I have a feeling it will struggle to here even if heavier

the bigger gflakes generally mean it is a very wet snow. I would expect the snow to become a drier type as we move into the evening thus allowing it to stick

The main road due east from Aberystwyth towards Llangurig is apparently closing/closed due to drifting of existing snow, and apparently is also getting light flurries of new stuff (mind you it's pretty high up on that road).

Impster

cant see anything coming down in langland on the gower

http://www.gowerlive...glandwebcam.php

It is snowing, but through a combination of relatively high temp (1.9c) and it's not too heavy (unlike where Marcus is!) it isn't settling. According to the radar there are some more intense areas approaching so hopefully this will change!
