Got 2 inches by the door. Probably more in the open where it isn't so sheltered. That accumulated in the space of 45 mins to give an indication of how heavy that band is. Still snowing but looking a touch brighter at the moment. Perhaps is almost through?

edit.... nope chucking it down again...

Our turn at last ey!! About time! Still bucketing down here. I'll measure when it stops but lets just say the road has dissapeared and the street is just one level of snow now so there must be at least 3inches. Can't wait to see the totals. Camera day tomorrow me thinks! yahoo.gif

Yep its about time the coasts got some of the good stuffdrinks.gif

Nice one mate :D It's weakening too much as it moves towards my area, but it was to be expected :)

It's not really worth getting excited over mate. The heaviest stuff appears to be passing by my area.

I'm right on the very edge of this band at present.

Ruler test shows 1.9 inches on the back patio. Snow has stopped for now, but some strong showers pepping up behind this lot so I'm sure it won't be the last. I think if it had started laying immediately rather than blowing so much we'd have a fair bit more. Not surprised that the sheltered side of town is reporting higher totals due to this ;)

Nah, i'll be happy with a dusting, but even that seems unlikely.I'll probably get an early night soon anyway ;)

Theres a massive clump of very intense showers heading this way now. They should readh here in 20 minutes or so. If they dont weaken, it should provide a good cover.

The temperature is rising as the cloudcover has built. Now -0.2C with a dewpoint of -4.1C.

I'd perhaps wait a touch longer mate. The next batch of showers appears to be further to the West. ;)

Edit: heavy graupel shower at the moment

Just unlucky again, i'm sure i'll see some good snowfall before the end of the winter.

Theres still later, tomorrow, sunday (my birthday), tuesday/wednesday, and then late on when a possible basterly hits, surely i cant fail then? lol

Reef, looking at the net w radar, app it should be snowing moderate to heavy for me now, all i have is a bit of cloud. I think it's dieing over us mate, so we may not even get the heavy stuff ;) even the showers to the N are loosing their intensity. If not that, the Net weather extra radar is broken again/incorrect, or there's an anaprop.

Yes, its miles lighter than the radar suggests. Its nice to see nonetheless but it wont lay at this rate.

Edit: Scratch that, its bucketing down and laying now!

Snowing again here. Looks like we are just getting the edge of the next batch coming through... Probably heavier on the south side of town!
