UK Outlook for Thursday 29 Mar 2012 to Thursday 12 Apr 2012:

Much of the UK is likely to remain largely settled, with rainfall probably below average and temperatures likely to be average or above average by day, although some chilly nights are likely. Any wetter and windier weather is likely to be confined to the far north of the UK. However, there are some indications that towards the middle of April conditions may start to become a little less settled generally, with temperatures returning to nearer normal values.

Big change on the 16-30 outlook putting back the unsettled weather to mid April now, model guidance has been showing a continuation of the current anticyclonic conditions so a best bet from the Meto.

UK Outlook for Saturday 31 Mar 2012 to Monday 9 Apr 2012:

Mainly cloudy this weekend with some light rain, particularly in the south and west on Saturday. Sunny spells are most likely in the northeast of the UK, amongst scattered showers. Temperatures are likely to return nearer to average across all areas, with some quite chilly nights bringing the possibility of patchy frost and fog. Some sunshine will return to southern areas into the start of next week, with daytime temperatures perhaps a little above normal here, although the risk of overnight frost continuing. The north and particularly northwest, is likely to be windier, with rain or showers at times and it may be cold enough for some hill snow in the far north. UK Outlook for Tuesday 3 Apr 2012 to Thursday 12 Apr 2012:

Less settled than recent days, at least initially, with showers affecting southern and eastern parts in particular. However as the first week progresses the more unsettled weather will become confined to northern parts, with showers or longer spells of rain here, some of which could be heavy in the northwest. Southern areas on the other hand will become somewhat drier by the end of this first week, with the best of any sunshine developing here. Temperatures will be closer to average compared to recent days and it is likely to feel cold in the north at times. Into the second week there is a signal for the more unsettled weather in the north to spread gradually south into more of the UK, although perhaps not reaching the far south.

this is in the wrong thread is it not?

the above is the 6-15 day outlook the heading says 16-30 day outlook

that is unless its my old eyes playing me up again!

admin/mods can you please sort as the two threads seem to be getting mixed up by posters-many thanks

perhaps part of the confusion is that Met seem to issue the original ouput at 04 something and then call it an update at lunch time when its actually idential to the earlier issue that morning?

Again John sorry I got it mixed up. As I said in other section, I'm only updating them as no one else is! The 04:00 ish updates are different to the midday ones- you will see this in the 6-15 day update.
