Just had a light very wet snow shower here in Telford.

Yep, nice streamer setting up now...Your location and fine should see a fair smattering of moderate/heavy snow showers for the next few hours!

No, it's not snow, it's heavy hail and grauple with the occasional burst of sleet.

It's 2.9c too, so I am colder than most surrounding areas.

Scottish ski resorts must be very happy with this fairly late season significant snowfall coming just before the easter holidays, though conditions this weekend won't be ideal with strong winds and further snowfall.

The recent snowy weather has been an almost carbon copy of what happened in late Feb, similiar amounts of snow perhpas not quite as much in similiar locations, though this time N Ireland joined in, however, this time it has been perhaps worse due to the strong winds adding the additional hazard of fallen down trees and power lines. Even though we saw a very cold winter, we were spared many conditions like the past couple of days. This has been a proper winter storm, the only true winter storm of the season coming at the tail end of March.

Looking ahead, slightly milder air tomorrow, but still chance of wintry showers in many northern and western districts. Friday snow on high ground in the north. Saturday and Sunday look quite cold in the north, sat eve into sunday will see colder uppers again with low dewpoints. Certainly a chilly unsettled outlook - a poor easter for those wanting to get out and about and for businesses. Very poor prospects for the start of the 'summer season' so to speak. Easter can be dissapointing and this years is going to join that list, roll on spring.. the daffodils are still not out here and its April tomorrow! it currently feels like the middle of winter.

Just had ANOTHER moderate hail shower, this is fantastic!!

I can confirm the front and back edges of these showers are light snow.

Looks like a more pronounced clump of showers are about to to their 'thang' here...Might well get a nice dusting from these

About 1.5 cm of lying snow here after several short but fairly heavy showers this evening.

I said tomorrow.... and Im not doubting snow on higher ground

Also Sam's post was regarding SW Wales, which seems the most place most unlikely to see any snow tomorrow in Wales

There are likely to be showers in SW Wales tomorrow, and with uppers sub -6c to start the day every chance of some wintriness and snow showers to start the day, however as there steadily rise throughout the day,the snow risk will correspondingly drop.

Yeah, those showers to the North West on the radar do look very intense, with one having managed to reach the Birmingham area and gave short duration of sleet. (Probably the most snowiest of the precipitation I've had all day).

I wouldn't be too surprised, especially to the people who are up North-West, to see a covering from those.

Are these showers going to hit Cardiff or are they going to divert westwards?

Charts have pushed tomorrows system further North. Here will probably miss most of it now.

AAAARGH all the hailstorms went south of here, boring old Buxton could do with some hail activity if we are going to get cold weather related weather.

Also if they do reach here will I have snow or hail? Temperture is -0.1c at the moment with dewpoint of -2c. Most showers today have been snow and I have half an inch or maybe a little less now of snow cover. ASL 200meters, 10miles inland.

Heavy snow shower here now...Already a covering after just 10 minutes, and further showers to come...An impressive cheshire gap streamer :)

When the wind is Westerly, generally in winter/early spring these will be of hail if the conditions are right because of convection, so yes, this week conditions will be right and they will be of hail.

There's a risk of catching the odd wintry shower later on tonight and/or tommorrow morning for your areas, before some showery rain moves into Western areas, which I'm affraid doesn't look like arriving until later on in the morning.
