Sorry to be downbeat about all this lovely warm weather, does anybody know when it will rain here in the SE, last month according to the BBC it was one of the driest on record, i think this month is going the same way,we need rain to fill up the reservoirs, i think people could well be getting concerned when there will be articles on the news about how low the water level is

24.3°C up the road from me at Charlwood, so give it an hour or two and it will that this afternoon!

Highest yesterday was 25.4°C in St James Park

We've had thunder here but no rain yet, we desperately need some rain to soften the ground a bit.

Good job I cut the grass earlier this afternoon! The ground was dry and there were some birds around which was confusing, but as we all know, animals can sense the rise/drop in pressure which meant the birds knew rain was on the way so that they could feast on their late lunch break - Worms

4th day straight with no rain, no hint of it either. Today, huge marked contrast with the last week or two, of 18+ temps, yesterday 23.6C today, once the cloud rolled in early this afternoon the temperature abruptly dropped from 19.2C all the way down to just 14.7C. with a cool breeze..still no sign of rain, nor any sign of thunder. Last time we recorded rain here was over a month ago, not one drop thus far this month.

Still dry in Norwich, can't remember when it last rained and now having to water the garden as some plants starting to wilt. Temps today "only" 18c and sunny compared to yesterdays 26c ;-)

Never remember it this good in April.

A lovely sunny warm day, but temps are going to tumble as the week progresses. So far, it's going to be a lot cooler on Friday with possible rain all day :shok:

Cant believe it i am looking forward to rain, seems like a bit of novety value at the moment, like looking forward to the first day of snow. The garden looks like mid Aug at the moment, grass is starting to go yellow and some of the trees i have noticed dont look to healthy (looks like global warming is happening)

Rain is still on the cards on Friday/Saturday in the S/SE areas. It looks like being a wash out for loads of street parties :help:

Regional weather discussion England, is someone having a laugh.

Anyway I got sunburnt in the Lake District last week, wasn't expecting that, had my suitcase packed full of wet weather gear, and it's looking a beautiful day back home today. I guess this means Summer is going to be as bad as the last four summers.
