UKMO NAE 06Z is reluctant to develop much really this afternoon.. and keeps activity later on south in the Channel.

Nowt action here methinks but maybe late evening towards overnight is my best chance? I need some long spells of blue skies desperately. :wallbash:

Temp 14.2c DP 11.2c and falling pressure currently 1011.8mb

Maybe it's time to look eastwards to Benelux, see attached and at least, the westward flow is encouraging.

Here's hoping something kicks off sooner than later.

Cheers

It is a bit frustrating as there are some lovely cloud formations but it's still quite hazy - reminds me of my cooking, I think I've got the right ingredients but there's one thing missing and it might not come out as planned :unknw:

Its always the same in here...

Just wait a bit guys, The skies are still very murky. These clouds still have time to burn away.

Its ONLY! 14:00hrs.. Give it some more time!

You can quite clearly see that behind this mass thats passing east to west is convection.

I would be shocked if nothing happens..

Also note.

I have a BBQ out and ready, this in itself will cause severe storms and rain.

17C here now with signs of convection - ties in nicely with Richard Angwin suggesting 17C is the temperature to initiate convection.

Just be patent guys and girls.

I am sat here like most of you, with camera ready, laptop wired into the car, mobile internet with money on it. Ready to hit the road but I am patently waiting for things to fall in to place. After all we have no control of this.

It's all a bit inglorious here, practically no wind, a sky full of scud/dense grey cloud and no sun. It tried raining 15 minutes back but all a bit boring to be honest!

At least change the wording a bit if you are going to copy a post from another forum !

Would agree with that, required temps only just being reached.

Guys keep it on the storm or lack of rarther than copyright laws. we all want to know the same thing, whether we get storms. I think UKWW would feel the same.

Something he has posted + created, copyright to UKWW? That's ridiculous.

Anyway not much happening here, just some bits of cumulus or stratocumulus and lots of haze and cirrostratus making most of the sky white. Hoping for something later, but no sigh of anything at the moment..

My local skies are moving along. No longer scud but high cirrus and Cb's starting to show. It looks pretty good for points west of me though I'm not holding my breath for a decent local event!

A few showers are now setting off in the Home Counties, I would expect these to develop readily and drift westwards

The storms over France could perform a kent clipper later, its fairly unusual to get clipped from E-S-E...
