The cluster of showers coming into Warwickshire could well turn electrical, a thundery look to the Coventry sky:

A few red dots showing up just south of Bristol. Is it just Anaprop?

Definetly nothing here mate! Blue sky here now after an earlier light shower! All the heavier showers/storms went across the channel and up through Cardiff area! Its game over in Bristol, plenty of blue sky coming my way now!!

I'm coming round your house with a pair of cable cutters tonight

All that activity to our ssw looks South Yorkshire bound.... something tells me even you are in for a show soon!

Heres to hoping eh

Do you think any will hit me first?

A side swipe from that Shrops/Staffs cell.....Quite a few rumbles of thunder (still rumbling away as it trundles NNE)....no visible lightning, nor rainfall, it'll be interesting to see if it can hold together during evening, now the next question is will the train of ppn stretching through Hereford into the SW develop?

Is anyone else watching the Paul Sherman road tour on storm cam? :D Quite cool actually, at least if someone cuts him up we have their number plate on cam to name and shame

I commented on it earlier. Paul said he was headed for the south coast, but it looks to me like he's heading home.

Im a complete novice but have some big cells popped up over bay of biscay? Exploading into life and on a N/NE track? Could be of interest. But then again im a complete beginner!

Thoughts anyone

This is what i was hinting at earlier but i'm not sure exactly where these will track, there is a good chance they may also end up getting dragged too far west.

Edit East!!! :wallbash:

what sort of height is considered 'mid level convection, and is it a good sign? we have some starting over middlesex now, base approx 8000ft (I use flightracker to watch the planes coming out of Heathrow lol what a nerd - and that gives you the altitude - tops still cauliflowering looks about 10,000ft???

Not the only one then. Try flightradar 24

I hope he isn't heading to the South coast, bugger all storm activity down there. He should be heading to the Midlands!

I ain't too excited yet. The first once is bouncing into shield right now. First sign of convection as well round here. Actually it's time we brewed our own haven't done that for years.

Some very nice downpours along the Landes coast, too far away to take interest though but hopefully something forms ahead of that.

Different sort of cloud moving across me now, looks electric as hell. You can see the lining between the lighter cloud and this real dark one. Might go boom now. Will update if it does.
