Been raining is st helens town for an hour now dunno what like imby

because the upper air profile is too warm, we'd want -8/-9C ideally from an imby perspective, we dont usually do well out of -5/-6C profiles

ermm getting a bit of sleet / light snow flakes in the drizzle now.. temps dropping to -0.3.. !

Torrential freezing sleet for 5 minutes here, temp dropping, now -0.6c

More rain here, not even freezing, although you could not get much closer to the coast without getting your feet wet.

Me driveway has now dissappeared under the snow, glad i can stay in today as barnsley are playing away :), temp now fallen to -0.9c

this backs up my point that west cumbria is one of the worst places for snow in the uk

Leeds/Bradfod TAF going for light Freezing Rain aswell, so looks like that shower just about survives the passage across the pennines. skies going dark here now so stickin on the thermals and watching the skies.
