Lol thread 7 and no snow yet!

We sure are a desperate bunch to get our fix ;-)

I think there is some confusion though, there is a lot of rain and sleet being shown but the Eastern edge is now starting to turn to snow as it gets near us and meets the colder air and also it is slowing down so we do still have 3-4 hours yet before the front gets over London.

SNOW UPDATE LONDON - Light snow arriving in London around 7pm, turning heavy towards midnight, easing early hours tomorrow. Turning icy.

Just picking up on Dan's post from the previous thread about monday

I posted about that in the EA/3C's thread, and said things looked to be backing further west...i often find the NAE tends to prog the lightest precip almost always as rain. The 48 hour chart shows more potential for monday though if the cold is still being underestimated:

Thats if it even reaches this far

Doesn't make a difference for you guys! It does for people in the west.

Good. It will reach here, there's no doubt about that now. The slower it moves, the longer it will snow for our region. Also the slower it moves, the less chance of milder air creeping in to western areas of the SE.

A lot of the sleet over the spine of the country is now turning to snow.

Basically the further west and south you are the more likelyhood it will turn sleety tomorrow

Going to miss out on this as am in Italy right now, though still watching and wishing everyone a good evenings worth of the white stuff. Looking good for about 15cms I'd say, maybe a bit more where the front comes to a stop, good luck all!
