Frightened? LOL. You've got nothing to worry about. The snow will cover the whole country

But I want the MOST :)

Hello all, ive just moved to Brookwood (semi rural village between Farnborough and Woking)...assuming my drive back up there at 8pm this evening from Poole in Dorset could be a slippery ride?

From the PPN currently showing on the radar, I can't see how some areas will get 15cm out of this! Is the PPN expected to increase in intensity as the night goes on?

Good luck everyone, could be a very exciting night ahead. :good:

Ye I agree, apart from the larger bursts up north the PPN does not seem to be to heavy. You can follow the track backwards to the west and there is nothing heavy coming in our direction. Don't get me wrong I'm not moaning but unless this front literally stalls above us I can't see 15cm piling up.

Here we go then people-

its starting to drift in now-

Eyes down for a full house-

-1 -3c here perfect dry snow conditions = 1:15 lapse rates

Just an UPDATE on the outlook, there is a SIGNIFICNT shift in the models ( as forecast over the last few days) to an easterly that is mirroring the Feb 91 High pressure -

looks to be arriving weds ish-

So after the weekend a quietISH 2/3 days then the possibility of snow from the east-

Warmest day looks like mon/tues then back below freezing from the east-

Also IF the gfs 12z varifies anything close for the next 16 days- we will be looking at a -2C FEB CET

remember Wrap up warm & check on the elderly relatives..

this isnt snow its basically rain :/

Are you sure it's not just tiny flakes of snow? Very much doubt you're seeing rain!
