Yup still snowing, but that snow to the east of here - wow, so close, but hey, we've done pretty well!

Do you reckon Sundays games will be on? Hamilton Panthers won't even be on now and they play on the 3G at the uni. St Clements will get a week off also. Then again Sunday Football is for nutters so you never know! (these teams play on the Knavesmire)

I very much doubt it. It's baltic out there!

The Woodhead Pass has been closed in both directions because of heavy snow.

It is shut between the Flouch Inn, near Langsett, and the Gun Inn, Mottram.

Still coming down quite heavy in my area, hoping it will continue for a few more hours they did say between 6pm--midnight will be the heaviest!! BRING IT!!

Cold front getting it's act together now over South/West Yorks, Mids.

Around 5cm's out here with heavier stuff due over the next hour, could top 8-10cm's by 11-12.

I'm in York, South Bank/Tadcaster Road area. Just been out onto the Knavesmire, oh boy. It's hammering down, strong winds and possibly around 4-5" laying on the ground (was really hard to see in the biting cold and snow) I'm a very, very happy *snow* bunny :yahoo:

Edit: Added video. On my phone so not great.

Nice one.

I'm in Strensall and its the same.

Terrington Bank with the kids sledging tomorrow...... Bring it on !!

The snow turned very heavy for the last couple of hours, now cleared pretty much with some sleety or rain precipitation lightly falling at the moment, but 2 or 3 inches which is nice!

snow becoming lighter now, as expected, but a level 5cms on the pavements and around 7cms on grass. I think some people honestly look at 2" and think it's actually 4! Anyway, expecting East Anglia to get pasted tonight (heres hoping for you guys lurking on here) - hopefully a sign of things to come! Still snowing though and momentarily heavier.

Well going by the radar it's dying off from now in West Yorks but I've just been out for a cig and there's at least 15cm in the bits where it hasn't drifted which is a lot more than I expected here. As a one-off event it certainly gives the past 2 years a good run for their money, but obviously its not part of such an epic spell as they were. Looking forward to seeing it in the daylight tomorrow! Hope my vids and pics cheered up anyone who was let down today, rather than just making them green with envy! I look forward to seeing everyone else's pics too! Night all!
