2/3cm here, not a lot, but better than a kick in the teeth and kids loved it so all good

Yeah I thought that.

What we had in longevity your area made up for in intensity.

It was light to moderate snow here for the duration with the odd sporadic burst of heavy snow.

Level 5-6cm snow but good quality though. Powdery and no slush.

Tbh don't see much thawage so looking forward to sledging with the kids 2moro.

PS. Was impressed by cover in Leeds city centre this evening; even by the train station the road was fully covered!

Been snowing in Spalding since about 17:30. Just been for a 40min drive and small drifts are readily forming, my tracks had gone when i returned home. Not big flakes but quite fast and blowing about alot. Hard to judge current depth but possibly about an inch or two.

Update 21.04

Temp -2 Feels Like -13 Conditions: Heavy blowing snow, Drifts widespread and road conditions are poor. The A16 to Louth through the Wolds is particularly Bad with Vehicles struggling to make the climb to Cadwell.

Just been to Billinghay (Normally ten Mins away) and the snow is blowing off the fields and causing snow drifts 6" deep and its still blowing a hoolie with wind speeds back up to 27kph.

Well it all seems to be moving towards Lincs and going southwards, what a massive let down!

Poor forecast from look north for this area especially

Should be mate. Unless the forecasts are wrong. Any freezing rain will just put a crust of ice on it.

Can anyone explain to me the point of walking up the middle of the road when the depth is the same as on the pavement.

Still if I drove up in my 4x4 the bird in the mini may have given me a good view. Yup still windy.

Still coming down heavily here. Difficult to measure due to the wind and drifting but is about 3 inches deep on our road. I reckion this is probably an overestimate as drifted snow will lie between the kerbstones. I estimate between 2 and 2.5 inches so far. Temp is -2 degrees,

Just got home to Louth from Boston - very challenging, with blowing snow and poor visibility - not long before the A16 at Keal Hill and Dalby Hill is impassable. Had about 3cm here and it's still going strong.
