The Midlands is a broad area. I can assure you that is nowhere near the maximum predicted for here.

I didn't say it was. I was saying it for my area. Nowhere in my post did I say everywhere will be well above freezing.

December 18th 2010 still gave more than today but this is one of the best events for some years anyway. Really good day. :D

So the first snowfall of 2012 is a great event! It seems that all of you aren't going to have the same snowless year as 2011.

Gonna upload another video of a young girl who almost got hit by a car after walking out in front of it, she must have only been about 6 and she was saying she'd lost her dad and couldn't find him?

The lady who was helping her calls out for her to stop! just as she walks out!

We had a gargantuan amount in December 2010, about a week before Christmas. But I think that was a very localised event, I recall Rugby a few miles away reporting next to nothing the same day.

Feb 2007 for the region as a whole I should think?

Yeah... that really annoyed me. I drove to stratford (about 40 mins away) and went from seeing a dusting to a foot of snow.

Some good news for you folks...the satellite shows that clear skies are coming in quite quickly from the north west. Should be here quite quick.

Good, as it's raining now -- and a little too hard for my taste!

Raining here in Telford now just starting to thaw the snow, the sooner the front clears the better now.

Light drizzle with the odd snowflake. It should stop sometime soon.

lol perhaps it was your posts I was remembering. I certainly recall somebody from Rugby getting distinctly irked on the forum that day (with very good reason).

Well, just got in. Very heavy snow, gotta a little lighter but it's still heavy and bigger flakes. Pushing 4 inches out there now, surely.

What's the chance of it turning to rain here, does anyone know? (bit of a noob, you see)

The drizzle has turned back into very light snow here again...but surely it must all stop any time now?
