Could be worse, 1.9C a tad high but Dew Points below -1C are fine, and temperature should drop a little more, I think tonight the problem will be how far south and east the snow comes and not the temperature as the snow is from N/NW (inland) rather than saturday where snow hugged the coast bringing offshore winds (from the South).

Temp doesnt want to drop though still 1.9

No its pants lol,but to be honest i wasnt expecting snow anyway, after last saturday i am never getting excited about snow until i see it falling from the sky as it can change where and when its going to fall at the drop of a hat :drinks:

I wasnt either Marie - now seeing the pink on the radar just North of us I am wondering whether to stay in and watch the radar as it "looks" like its on its way??? and as BrightInBrighton says, its coming from a cold place this time

12z GFS and UKMO GM seem still a little too far west with the ppn on their runs vs radar currently - which shows light snow across much of E Anglia and now sliding down across Kent. Strangely the snow is bypassing here in Croydon to my east, like a snow shield!

Been out of the loop today - I thought the most intense PPN was supposed to track through the midlands/W Wales, and we were staying mainly dry? Now the radar is showing a North/South track?

Despite this Anglia news have just announced the snow 'won't be as severe as first thought'. I know these situations are difficult to call but bloody hell.

Edit: Just read the above :good:

Feel positively tropical compared to the last 5-6 days here now. Can clearly see the heavier precip running through Chelmsford area heading in towards Brentwood and London area, bone dry here and I'd expect it to stay dry if for some little snow grains later.

Temp +0.7c

Dewp -2.3c

Epping is about a 20min drive north of me, so that's good news.

Some flights seem to have been cancelled ah Hearhrow? Radar shows echoes yet locals say no snow falling. Er what is actually happening?

Just drove from Heathrow/Uxbridge where it was 1 degree on car thermometer and cloudy; driving down M25 they were gritting, and arriving in Surbiton it's 2 degrees which seems a bit warmer than of late. So no reason I can see to cancel Heathrow flights. Losing hope a bit must say. Supposed to drive to parents just outside of Bath on Saturday, so hoping they will get the snow and we can enjoy it there if it doesn't rain/warm up and get washed/thawed away.
