Ok looking at the latest radar my take on things is that precip is way to south now to miss Herts, east Essex and north London!

The way its moving at present even NW Kent could see some light ppn.

The main band still looks like passing the very NW of our region though later tonight

Is all that ppn on the radar over Essex rain then? If I press weather type on the whole map goes pink so can't tell!

Does anyone 'in the know' have any idea if the stuff over Norfolk and Suffolk on the NetW Radar is real and if it is real, is it Snow ? Reports in EA thread talk of a few flakes East of Peterborough with a bit of sleet,

-.- latest run is messed up ...

Oh that is disappointing! Mind you, can't moan, my evil looking snow man is still standing. Quite a lot of frozen solid snow on the ground here.

Rain or Snow is there actually anything falling from the sky!? Its all very well pretty colours on the radar but there seems to be a serious lack of reports of anything reaching the ground!

I've spoken to someone in an area, which shows precipitation on the radar, 5 minutes ago. Diddly squat apparently!

I guess the air must still be very dry there.

Temp : 0.9c

Dewp : -2.5c

So going in the right direction at least.

The stuff in East Anglia is false returns, have been following these all afternoon, the TRUE Precip line is just around the Wash area at the moment, so Lincs, Peterborough, East Midlands, East Yorkshire etc are now reporting a mix of Sleet, Rain, Snow. I would not expect much precip before 7-9pm at the earliest tbh

Yes the warnings are a bit puzzled up, if you look closely the one stays the same with the West of the region in the snow and the Icy Roads is overlayed from North West England and down the East Coast.

I wasn't sure...not clear....but our roads are dry, so maybe something will make them wet..lol

Warning for this region is ice from a few snow flurries through the night along with the melted snow cover on the ground that will re-freeze.. Am currently under PPN but nothing falling.

Right on the East Coast at Felixstowe and the radar has been showing precipitation (snow) over us for at least the last hour with nothing falling!! The clouds have increasingly got darker from the east though in this time so just maybe?? Just want to prick those clouds with a pin and let the heavens open!!!

When was this meant to start going SW? At the moment from looking at the radar it seems to still be going in a SE direction?
