Okay snow reports poping up all over the place now on the twitter snow map..And as you can see much further east that predicted ;) Hold tight everyone..I think it is going to be a long..And could be a frustrating night :)

That big red blob over the North sea..Just still hanging on pushing south..COME ON!!! IF there is a God he will give all my fellow lovers of weather snow tonight! XD

No snow in Felixstowe, :-(

Been under the precepitation for at least an hour and a half, although as I said earlier it looked like it was getting much darker (clouds) out to the east before dusk!!

There must be snow in there then- just not as widespread as the radar-

I cant get that snow map at work-

I will rely on old fashioned reports from Sleety Southend-

Need to get my new car home- it doesnt drive in the snow- it just go sideways like a crab

I think there is snow moving S/SSW from the Peterborough area, but if we were to believe the radar completely, then Chelmsford would currently be having heavy snow.

Nowcasting snow is a nightmare @ the best of times...

So why's the radar letting us down at our greatest time of need?

I wonder what's causing all the fake echoes?

Its not all that hot air rising from Yamkin's ramps, is it?

:help: :help: :help: :help: :help: :help: :help: etc etc

METO have adjusted the snow symbols in our area and its earlier and further east by the looks - nothing post midnight - radar showing sleet isnt representative as nothing here in Brighton at the moment and its green on radar!

An alert has been issued to Croydon Council by the MetO for heavy snow this late afternoon/evening :help: :help:

This area isn't in for much so can't see how Croydon can be due heavy unless an area of ppn is going to break of and drift that way, or maybe Croydon council are being a bit ott.

Okay so with things more east now..This is my take on things...The red circle indicates precipitation that isn't there.. (error)

I think the blob to the sw of the red area is also fake, otherwise it would've ppn here a little while ago; it didnt!

Not entirely correct. There have been lots of snow reports in Peterborough, and someone in Stansted reported some light snow. But all those bright echoes over Suffolk and south & east Essex are either false or the PPN just isn't reaching the ground.
