Ok, This whole weather system has confused the hell outta me.

Its just not behaving like it should! Am I going mad or is it acting up?

( This isnt a complaint.. Im just saying that it seems to be behaving odd and not following proven forecast ideas? _)

I agree, very strange. To be honest looking at the radar though, I just cannot see this happening at all for any of us. I really hope I am wrong. This has been a really strange winter.

Just checked outside and it looks like it is just a mixture of rain and sleet at the moment.

Wonder whether the snow reports further north of the region are signs of things to come or not.

hi windswept, I'm currently down in centreparcs, due back tomorrow, I presume its raining in longlevens still. if so, phew, want to get home :)

Yes just rain, the temperature has finally started to drop - down 0.3C to 1.2C

Oh it's so close. Still only very light drizzle but the sleet on the radar is almost here, and from experience that usually means snow at my height!

If you look on the radar showing the UK, you can quite clearly see two large bands of precipitation - one to the West (affecting us) and another just to our East - there's a gap right down the middle of the UK.

The one to our East is colder air with snow - we're in the Western one, less cold and rain.

That isn't a very good sign then.

Temps are still holding at 2.4c and 1.1c dp ...... Fair play to comments made yesterday about the fact the models didn't seem quite right...they've performed poorly so far regarding tonight in my opinion, mostly with the precipitation.

The only thing I'm pinning my hopes on is the back edge of 'our band' that is gradually 'swivelling' round. This might intensify a bit and turn to snow later at the predicted times by the MetO & BBC?? Can't see it myself!

Plenty of surprises for those in the some eastern regions of England tonight anyway.

Back to where I live, absolutely soaking outside with rain. Yum yum... <_<

So the stuff to East was supposed to move SW, but now where is it going? London then into the Channel? Very different to the forecast.

I don't think we quite watching the movement of the precip properly... it's coming our (my) way!
