Considerable convective activity in the area, we have had a few hail showers earlier, and dp just 1c, temp 5c so something wintry possible.

May be worth checking out my webcam stream as some decent showers by passing currently.

Decent Cardigan Bay streamer operating now and passing a few miles to my north and east as seen on the stream (hope it's working).

Yes worth watching the streamer seems to be developing .

There was one heavy shower around half eleven here that was a wintry mix, mostly dry since then though.

For us we need the wind direction to change to more of a NNW flow, as the showers are slightly too far east.

The heavy one that passed SW of here half hour back is headed Swansea way should it sustain.

Proper hail shower here briefly, more to come by the looks...

Heavy snow here now, very wet, but the heaviest snow of the year I think and in a stiff breeze it's probably fair to describe as a blizzard. Temp 2.9c has fallen about 0.5c in the shower, dp -1.6c so the snow is settling (at least a little bit).

First wintry shower of the day has been dry since this morning's rain!

And... gone. Looks like I just caught the edge of that shower, next one looks more promising though, then there's nothing coming my way for a while :cray:

Some very heavy showers over the western edge of the Brecons at the mo, look to be heading between Swansea & Cardiff.

Seems be developing nicely over the rest of Wales nothing in the south at the moment,

Looks like the showers are dying out now. Didn't get any more snow here since my last post, just a lengthy hail shower. A thin icy/slushy layer on the ground.

Hmmm looks like nothing too much to get excited about over the next week, cool the next couple of days, then milder under high pressure thereafter, but quite a bit of cloud around so not as nice as it could be.

Some lengthy hail showers today here today and another decent frost tonight, currently -1.6 under clear skies.

Anyone think we have seen the last of the wintery weather?

On the whole yes, especially as I cannot see any cold in the models atm.

But cold weather is possible for at least another couple of weeks,

Seem to have been in a blessed bright spot here today.

Max 15.5c, we had a prolonged sunny period around midday, the temperature rose 5c in the hour to midday once the cloud cleared! This with the long (40 mile) land drag we get locally in SW winds this has resulted in temperatures much higher than surrounding areas which have been influenced by wind and cloud off the sea.

Trawsgoed with a NW breeze ( and with coast just 5 miles away) has so far reached a relatively cool 11c, similar to coastal stations such as Aberporth. Poor old Mumbles though max just 10c so far today! Only Hawarden has been as warm as here today.

Cloudy and a less mild 13c here currently.
