Well, let down number 1. No showers this morning & looking at the radar nothing imminent.

Bob Crampton †@bobsweather

#brollywatch Scattered showers later PM. Patchy rain tonight could turn sleety on Exmoor. Cold with sleety rain tomorrow.

Dont exactly trust bob our alex from the west country tonight but, yeah looks like will be sleet

To be honest every single forecast seems to change so im a little confused as to what to expect my meto app yesterday said snow all day wed and tues night then this morning it said rain all day now it says snow/sleet/snow and rain wed :pardon:

12z should be fairly important one to watch though.

As with all snow (or not!) it's a nowcast event and with the severe lack of any precipitation I remain sceptical about how

much we'll get even if it's just rain.

A few scattered sharp showers in the Southern parts of the region and a band of rain across the Northern parts but so

far another lovely Spring day here with warm sunshine and a freshening wind.

Got some heavy rain falling here, temp @ 12.3oC so not cold and whilst I'll miss the sun this rain is much-needed! :yahoo:

Well the rain has done a grand job of detouring this area. After a lovely sunny morning, the clouds quickly rolled in and got greyer and greyer before clearing and the sun is trying to shine again. Any rain on the way at all?

Weird isn't it? I just watched the radar look and we had a big gap over us! Couldn't make it up! Unless what's over Cornwall heads our way

Can the UK professional weather forecasters actually forecast the correct weather more than12 hours in advance?

This time yday eve the forecast for our area for tomorrow morning was a wintry mix - the latest Beeb forecast a few mins ago indicates the precipitation belt to be across mid-Wales and the Midlands by tomorrow afternoon and not even reaching our area?

Is it cold though?

The max today here was 13.2c which is above average and even now it's 8.2c and just a blustery wind making it feel cooler.

This evening has brought the first proper rain (not just drizzle or a shower) for 29 days though!

From what I can see every run over the past two days has slightly downgraded ppn amounts as well as the movement south! Don't think we are going to see anything from this now it doesnt seem to want to leave midlands and wales. :cray:

Whether it's proper cold or feeling cold due to a wind chill, cold is cold in my book so yeah it's cold out there at the moment with a wind chill of just a few degrees above freezing.

A nice streamer of showers just to the south with the main band of ppn to the north but bu**er all in the middle. How boring.

Think I've seen about....10 minutes of light rain today. That's a big difference to hearing them say yesterday "rain for most of the day". I guess it's been moving down more slowly than expected? Will probably be drizzle, if that by time it get's down here.

Same here I have had about ten mins of wet snow first thing and returned home and it is bone dry outside.

Wow it's quiet on this thread. I'm thinking a week of horrid rain :-( is to come. Where has the sunshine gone? But plenty for summer to really come!!

Tomorrow looks messy. But welcome rain for some areas. I'm interested into seeing how the rest of the week pans out and whether we see some decent convection kick off.

I'm not seeing a week of horrid rain, at best some patchy rain tomorrow, and then something a little more persistent Monday night, but beyond that, at best I would say showers.
