Cumulus is bubbling up all over the place here, and the radar is showing two intense showers South of me. Could there be a storm here? :D

Confirmation of a thunderstorm around Livingstone on ukww site forum (am i allowed to mention that here :p)

Clouds that are going up here are moving very very slowly from south to north.

Yep - just got in from work, absolute beast. (by Scottish standards) I saw 3 CG's land at once on the drive home, brilliant after such a nice day! Quite frequent thunder as wel - have an amazing view of it from the window!

Shotgun thunder now with a huge flashhelp.gif

Interesting times coming up. Chance of storms across the spine of the country this evening and tonight and then again tomorrow. Risk appears to transfer to the SW on Friday. And then the risk of a thundery breakdown Sun/Mon according to the latest BBC weather forecast.

Quite cloudy here now, will be keeping an eye out.

im not far from the airport and can see it still building, looks like a right monster from here, some distant rumbles as it moves away but that's it.

seems to be another building just to the south east of that storm .i can only hope smile.png

i would take the ticket buying as a good omen and get excited lol

Haha, it's happening as well. More thunder and a direct hit expected biggrin.png Visibility is poor so not the best for pictures but will see what I can get!

You can see the first storm moving off to the north and falling apart, second one has just came out of nowhere with more thunder and lightning.

I think that may be the one I can see to the SE.....nothing else I can see now as the development to the east I mentioned earlier seems to have either imploded or moved on.

I do like these sort of days when no-one knows for sure where convection will kick off,and all the

more exciting for those in the sweet spot. biggrin.png

The Cu everyone is talking about developed at the bottom end of the Goyt Valley near Buxton. Died a quick death convectionally with only ragged Cu's now making up that part of the southern horizon. Unless nocturnal cooling gives these developments a kick up the rear, i'm afraid the chances now are diminishing by the hour.

Have a visual on just that to my north. Very robust-looking TCu. Still think thunderstorm development is a reach around here, though.wink.png

here it is on radar, just to my east.....poor thing, looks lonely...lol

Nice one! The views are probably best from the back off the storm when it moves off but I don't really have a view in that direction. Will see if I can get a few piccies up. Storm now moving away. Hoping a 3rd might form, can see more towers to the south. That would just be too much luck though I think...
