Personally I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for Tuesday:

GFS 06z still adamant on showers breaking out over parts of Wales, Gloucestershire, Bristol parts of Somerset, etc this afternoon with decent levels of CAPE and Li, yet BBC and Met office not going with it. Will be interesting to see if anything happens or not.

Increased risk of a thundery shower or two breaking out in/around the Bristol area this afternoon. CAPE over 1200kj and a good 60% risk with GFS reflecting this in the form of precip moving northwards into the Brecon Beacons.

Well.

All the signs are there for possible storms this arvo.

The storm risk map ( bottoms ) is pretty much spot on i think.

Lets see what happens smile.png

Click monday smile.png

The new Met Office site is dreadful! So user unfriendly. If you hadn't said where to click I would have presumed there were no warnings at all.

There's only a big yellow heading at the top of the main page, reading "Yellow Alert of severe weather has been issued", with regions affected underneath.

To be fair wasn't the whole point of the new MetOffice website to be user friendly for your average Joe. If we can't use it with ease that's a big c**k up! Lol

Still waiting for my first Thunderstorm this year. Monday looks like going to the East. Maybe Wednesday here but I think we must have had at least 15 or so chances this year so far and not a sausage yet!

Heading off to SE Spain tomorrow morning, so gutted to see the (albeit like premature) MetO warning slap bang over my area.....cray.gifcray.gifcray.gif

That's not to say I don't wish you all luck over the next few days

I think we have some convection down south now. The next few hours will nail biting to see if anything kicks off ( Ignoring that front )

BBC Weather just said a chance of some pretty strong widespread Thunderstorms developing Wednesday. Great stuff.

I am thinking it may be worth me taking a day of work next week to do some chasing.

Monday's effort is related to a cold front,

BBC graphics now have showers across Wales and parts of the West Country this afternoon. Bigger risk appears to be tomorrow evening in eastern parts - with London to East Midlands the favoured spot.

BBC forecaster just said "most people will see some flashes and bangs this week" - surely that doesn't include Bradford???
