Watching that, hoping it maintains its intensity. More interesting may be the small one just east of Reading?

hmm that little tiny system to the north of newbury is passing me and I can see it from my window. Moving quite fast it seems and gathering momentum I believe. Reading will get a lot more than I !

Couple of really heavy downpours this arvo in nw London but unfortunately no t or l.

I guess the cloud cover scuppered things.

Plenty of rain and a great weekend of sports :)

My garden has not looked this good for many years....I suppose it proves how much plants prefer rain water to tap water.

19.5mm since midnight. Kind of ironic in the year of hosepipe ban I've done less watering than ever but my plants are thriving.

Take that Veoli :p

Sun keeps trying to make an appearance but it's outclassed by the dull greyness. Where ARE those blasted storms my app tells me we're supposed to be getting? sad.png

I'd delete that app, it's faulty :D

No rumbles Polar Bear. The rain started suddenly and stopped suddenly - 20ish minutes of torential rain

Local weather station reports about 6mm of rain in the last hour.

I've only had to water my plants a couple of times since the late May's hot spell.. and i've noticed the oak trees are having a growth spurt at the moment...with all that extra carbon dioxide floating around aswell the plants are looking healthier.

P.S. It's pouring down again here.

Can you believe that the system that entered our shores on thursday night is still hugging the North-East coast? To put it into perspective, it came up from the south east, arced westwards across the Midlands towards devon and cornwall, spun through the channel affecting the southern counties, then pushed off into the north sea and now has spun back in AGAIN towards the North-East, persistence!
