not much to report here ,but the sky is full of energy we just need that trigger . would think that places further east and south could catch some very potent stuff this evening ,theres plenty of energy coming your way , look forward to this evenings output ,all who get it enjoy .

Got some moderate showers heading in this direction, looking at the charts theres some slight convergence near here but no chance of these turning thundery.

Some CB's growing to my North/North East. They are shooting up rather quickly by the looks of it.

Nice bow shaped radar return stretching from Taunton to Chard, with some associated lightning..It's developed over the past 45 mins ot so, so areas to the east of this should bare this in mind as there's some torrential rain headed in that direction

Only had a shower here today. Main instability is further East.

Incidentally Thursday is looking good for my region, with 1000kj Cape and LI of -4, but in pretty sure that will be mOdified nearer the time.

Some nasty showers forming in East Cornwall- but the Plymouth shield is holding firm should they electrify.

Well just been to the Coop up the road and there are towers building to the east and south. Could get interesting in East Devon later.

You could probably bet your life on it going by the last few weeks. Here's hoping!

They just go around me!

It looks like a quiet few days on the storm front now. The south east will see a few showers tomorrow, but just showers I think this time. The next point of interest comes Wednesday and Thursday.

On Wednesday, the instability is greatest in Ireland and Northern England

On Thursday, its the turn of Southern England and South Wales

Although at this stage this is obviously nothing more than something to keep our eyes on. This inevitably will chop and change in both intensity and distribution over the next few days.

Bon Appettite!

Here are some lightning stills i have taken from a Netweather video from May 2012

Excellent film and i love the way the lightning glides across the sky!

I do miss night lightning!

Thursday with a low-ish chance in the South:

Yes, the 0z runs have certainly removed a lot of potential across the South this coming week. Oh well, best go enjoy the sun instead then.

There is likely to be more floods this week, incredible amount of seperate flood locations over the last couple of months.

It's not is flooding a problem this week but exactly where, and to add to that there will be thunderstorms.(i won't say any areas now as things change but quite a wide risk at this stage)
