Very much a north of the M4 job today. The cell out in the Severn at 12pm was blurting out some nice rumbles and booms but as I went into Bristol from here the weather improved and after that only a quick shower for 10 minutes and nothing since. Nothing out of the ordinary there.

Maybe tomorrow will be the day.

Nothing for here today. Tomorrow looks the same. Again it's so hard to get a god damn storm here. South west midlands dry gap in action again.

Storm number 2 closing in.

Now you've equalled here making here as rubbish as Wrexham. Great :(

To answer Carl, yes very bad around Oswestry. Large hail and also frequent lightning. Here in Chirk it's a coming.......!!

Strike rate on the Lightning detector has started to fall so it could be just be rain if or when it reaches here. The path it's taking does look promising !

Still new storms popping up all the time. The one to the west of Stone in Staffordshire went up from nothing to a storm in just 10 mins according to netweather radar.

Three separate thundery cells today - one at 10:30am, one at 2pm, and one at 4pm. None hit directly, instead they gave us some lovely rumbles to the south before breaking up a little as they moved over. All three gave quite a drenching - lovely big convective raindrops :D Good day!

A few sferics near where i live. But of more interest to me there looks to be development across Staffs heading my way (currently near Holmes Chapel).

Just come in, been out all day and have heard pretty constant thuinder since 2:40 in Hornsea, E. Yorks. At least two different storms but probably three. On the way home, some 20 minutes ago, observed a small (needle) funnel to the NW of Leven. Lasted about a minute and a half.

I think, looking to South, now I am back at home, there is more to come.

I thought I just heard some distant thunder here...can't be sure. If it was the sound was carried by the wind...might just be the wind. There is a very dark sky to the south west. We'll see.

Can't see south and east due to houses in my street mind.

Hoping these storms will still be around when I finish work at 830, Nw seems to have missed the most of the storms but there is a rash of them

In Wales that could affect us soon.
