Not sure about that - seems to be a line of developing showers coming up from the south west - they look tame to begin with but develop quite fast - worth keeping an eye on me thinks

edit - another rumble of thunder on cue

The line looks a tad to far West for me ..hope your right though buddy !!

It's all fizzled out here now....but you know what....I'm happy. I'm ecstatic. I saw 2 CG's, and some nice cloud formations, and for me, that is something to celebrate. I got some nice shots (I hope you guys and girls think so too) and I think I even got to photograph some mammatus!

I'm currently in the garden, having a Magners and loving life. Enjoy your storms people! It makes you feel ALIVE!

Had a few rumbles to the south 20mins ago but it's gone deathly quiet here atm, not even a bird making a noise with the light ever darkening. RADAR looks tasty towards Leek aswell.

I think that shows how low the threshold of expectation has become around here because in reality it's another poor effort today. The showers that came up from the West Midlands died out by the time they got here and all we have are orphan anvils. Unless we get something later, it's yet another thunderless day.

Dry at the moment but looking roughly south/south west of me away towards Oswestry/Welshpool direction (VERY bright radar echoes from there!), the sky looks well moody. Very dark and slowly edging closer.

Bugger all here today apart from a brief shower around 11am. Something maybe brewing to the SW though looking at the radar and view outside. Can only hope, been watching the sferics all day all over the country, like watching acne break out on a teenagers face rofl.gif

Constant thunder and and a couple IC flashes from a storm to the west of Macclesfield for about 15 minutes then it just stopped.... thats pulse storms for you. Now i can either head east to catch that lot coming up through Staffs or head west to catch the storms heading towards Chester....

... or go home lol

Here too, plenty of warm sunshine this evening, only a few heavy showers this morning which cleared fairly quickly.
