Yep, rain digging in here. Can't measure it but I'd say it's that kind of rain that makes you want to spend the afternoon in the pub.

Could this be my chance for 2012 so late in the year? All that rain and getting soaked will be worth it!

A giant aquarium from the comfort of your own home, great - You must be off the scale on the environment agency warning criteria. :)

Easterly gales blowing through the Channel with gusts of 40-50mph, as predicted. Different day up here with hazy sunshine this afternoon and an ever increasing SE'ly wind....

Presure is now dropping at 2.2mb/hr, but not really generating any severe gusts. Right now, we have only light rain falling as the best stuff is now to our east, just typical.

Force 5 max in the area

After fairly light rain this morning, more intense rain for the past 15 minutes. In fact, many people would say it's a foul afternoon. Only 10.8 degrees too.

When will Nadine's child greet West Yorkshire?

You'll be witnessing a gradual deterioration as the day wears on with rainfall arriving this evening accompanied by strengthening easterly winds.

Nothing major here - relatively heavier bursts amongst continual lighter rain and light breeze. Some quite deep puddles about but nothing much else for what seems like a normal wet early autumn day. Maybe things will change.

i'm right in the middle of the most intense area and it seems to be intensifying further. whats a bit worrying, is that this lot should have cleared off in the next couple of hours or so but the metO warnings are valid from 1800 this evening! shok.gifbomb.gif

When will Nadine's child greet West Yorkshire?

Forecast says heavy rain to start at 7pm in Leeds, and continuing to Monday evening.
