Crazy amounts of hail here just now but brilliant sunshine at the same time.

Was that at home, Robin? I left for the dog walk at 8.00 this morning right under the anvil of a massive Cb. I bumped into my neighbour and could not help myself point out the hail shafts to the SE and mammatus. Great to see that you have confirmed this!

Mornin each. Not a bad start to the day here in The Swich. Bright and dry but chilly. Hope we get some 'weather' over the weekend; but hope it stays dry for all your firework displays. :D

Have a good 'n everyone. :D Happy Poets Day. â˜â˜â˜â˜â˜

I bet it will still spew all over the road when the bin man picks it up.

Why make bin bags that when you touch they split!!

Not a good start lol.

"Expert says UK to face winter floods, 1.3m people signed up to flood alerts" Quote from BBC

Who are these experts?

The headline says Environment Agency - they're not predicting the weather, just highlighting how saturated the ground is. I'm amazed at how quickly the groundwater seems to have recovered as they're saying that there's not a lot of space left even in the aquifers. Good, though - was getting quite concerning after that long, long drought.

It looks a nice day, but unfortunately I'm stuck indoors waiting for British Gas to call me.sad.png This was after spending about half an hour in a call queue to them beforehand, then someone answering and saying I'd be called back within 24 hours! This is for a really simple query too.mad.gif

It's amazing Coast, up here in sunny Crawley it's been dry all morning and only a little bit cloudy at times. Yet I can see the big showers to my south drifting by!

Wow, very impressive hail shower just attacked Reigate !

It's been on and off all morning with some pretty impressive showers, although the hail is just pea sized. No ruddy thunder yet though!

This must be what they mean by their 'next day service commitment' then ?

Hopefully they would be quicker if you were reporting a gas leak !

Such a shame your missing a lovely day...... it will be dark soon blum.gif

Still quite chilly here (7.7 °C) according to the Express it's going to be a bit of a shock to the system this weekend...
