Temps already dropping like a stone here, beautiful clear blue skies heralding a cold night ahead.

Looks like the skies are clearing and the last rays of sunshine are beaming through before night falls. Like all you guys the temperatures are falling now and I expect a chilly old night.

Stepped outside my "freezing cold Garret" for a quick rollie and it was quite warm in the sun shine. :) I've yet to see any ice and frost. Want to get some nice photos of ice-shrouded foliage. :)

The hoar frost of December 2010 was beautiful!

It was indeed, I would love to see that thickness of frost on my berries again this year...

Still waiting for my first Air Frost this autumn too. It's behind schedule, phenologically speaking, for my neck of the woods too. My average, based on just ten records, comes out at October 31st. Get your act together, Jack. search.gif

http://en.wikipedia....wiki/Jack_Frost

I have had air frosts as early as the October 4th (1994) and as late as December 1st in 2009.

Currently clear with scattered clouds, 6.7c AT.

*currently observing the GFS 12z, searching for this build of cold. drinks.gif

We got down to -1.7c here a few nights ago.

Was very surprised when I seen it!

Certainly confirmed my suspicions that I live in a frost hollow.

Thanks for explaining it MK !!

I dont dislike cold weather per-se, I love a bit of snow and crisp frosty winter days as much as the rest of us.....Its a different matter when you have to work nightshifts in a mahaoosive cold and very draughty warehouse though, loading and unloading vehicles outside 8 hours a night, 7 nights in a row.

Brrrrrrr.....I feel like Nanook of the North in winter....lol.

BB.
