Good morning all,

In the words of Oasis "Why does it always rain on me"! Being one of the matchday organisors at Chelmsford City, playing at what is an Athletics Stadium with a football pitch in the middle, each Saturday I help with the putting up of herras fencing and protective matting accross the running track as well as locating the roll-on terracing behind both goals inside the running track. Almost every Saturday recently without exception we have got soaked undertaking these tasks and today does not look like it will be much better. We entertain Dover in the FA Trophy today. It will be interesting to see the size of attendance today. It will certainly not be as big as last week for our FA cup game against Colchester United which was a sell-out.

Kind Regards

Dave

I think "Why does it always rain on me?" was by Travis, not Oasis. Not the hairy cornflake either. Good luck for the match today.

Darker than a gorilla's g**lies here in the part of Upminster that has a bridge like structure. Just as well I'm spending my birthday in some well lit hostelries. 9.6 degrees (that's the temperature of the lager anyway.)

The traffic yesterday I was in for nearly 2 hours was caused by a tragic accident between a Corsa and a Lorry, 3 young men died but it hasn't been said how the accident may have happened, my thoughts go to each of their families.

I hate weather days like these. The rain here is very light and nuisance value only, but a nuisance it is. I'd rather it rained heavily tbh.dry.png

It brings back to me listening to weather forecasts in my youth, when the forecast was for a weak front crossing the area. A rubbish weather day was sure to follow. I really disliked 'weak front' forecasts.sleep.png

Yes as a newbie I browsed that thread as a guest for over a year, it's a roller coaster. Members become very stressed.

To be honest it's November 10th. I don't even really think about deep cold until mid December.

I think I'll stick with the good old SE thread :-)

Very wise Dexter, very wise. The thing is though, that thread is only at Defcon 2. Wait until it hits 4; there will be more toy's thrown out of the pram than a sales day at Mothercare!

Oh God, poor souls. How awful to think that they will never go home again. I always think there is something particularly sad about RTA fatalities. My thoughts are with their families as well.

Same here, It's a horrible thing to see and always very sad when people were obviously on a nice day out or going on holiday or something sad.png

When I was at school one of my friends Mum's died in a car crash on a notoriously bad bend on the A413 - I rarely go that route now I live in MK but whenever I do I always think of her.

It's like the roadside tributes you pass where there has been a RTA, I always think to myself I wonder who that person left behind, it must be very difficult to lose a loved one in that way.

On a brighter note, it is defiantly brightening up here good.gif

Aww that's very cute, what breed do you have?

My schnauzer is 10 months old and he is fully trained and command trained. Bare with it, I remember puppy class thinking " oh he's never going to get the hang of this" but it does happen.

Hope the last class goes well

We have a Shetland Sheepdog.

The last class went well. I just hope she remembers everything she's been taught. :)

My friends down in Sussex have this dog, named Rye. He is incredibly well trained, just wish I could have one like it.

Aww he's lovely. :)

That is very sad. I thought it might have been fatal with the road closed completely. :(

Rain fizzled out this afternoon but there were still huge clouds in thunderous black skies over The Channel untill it got dark a short while ago. Should be mostly dry next week!

Hi coast looks about right

Chilly air flow but very light winds would say about 10 degrees

Would not be surprised to see a frost sunday night
