Hi all, in the city today - lots of mist around obscuring the tops of the scrapers. Cant see C wharf tower from here or the Gherkin! Happy Friday all... cheers good.gif

I'm working right next to the Shard at London Bridge today - couldn't see the top third of it this morning as it was shrouded in mist and fog!

I'm working right next to the Shard at London Bridge today - couldn't see the top third of it this morning as it was shrouded in mist and fog!

I think the visibility has got worse as the day has worn on ! I'm just off Fleet Street today, office looking towards St Pauls, which I can just about see, but cant see any of the other beautiful city buildings today. Will be dark soon (well, darker anyway!!).sorry.gif

One of my dogs is having a day in bed today, he's only got up to eat and go for a walk...he's not ill or anything... he got left out in the garden by accident yesterday for a few hours so he's having a bit of a sulk today and won't go out there in case he gets shut out again bless, the other one wouldn't have minded he likes being outside!

Reminds me of days past when fog was more common than it is now.

Also reminds me of scene setting in "A Christmas Carol", when we first get to meet Scrooge in good old London Town.

Just been out for a brief drive. Being indoors is always worse on days like today; actually that's true for most non rainy days imho. I quite enjoyed driving in the murk.

As one or two others have commented, I will repost my comment from over on the other forum.

SERIOUSLY FOGGY HERE IN NEWBURY, BERKSHIRE.

Just confirming other comments from the region, I believe people should pay attention to the following, in relation to the FOG.

Indeed, scarily so in Newbury, West Berkshire too. Down to roughly 100m or so already. I seriously hope this clears for those commuting later this afternoon and evening.

He probably did bark (and howl)...and the neighbours might well have been banging on my door....but I was out oops.gif

Serves him right for not coming in when he was called....and it's not like it was cold or raining, only being half poodle he's a bit of a woose !

Just when he thought days didn't any worse on Monday coming he goes for his annual vaccination in the morning and has an appointment with the dog groomer in the afternoon for a haircut and bath....I haven't told him about that yet rolleyes.gif
